I'm not a poetry lover but that sounds great!! I have added it to my 'to be bought list' (Chris is not letting me buy any more books till I've read the ones I have so I now have a TBB list instead of a TBR pile).
Actually, one of my favourite books ever is written in prose and I have a sneaky suspicion that you might really like it!! It's called 'The Wild Party' by Joseph Moncure March and it's the book that made William Burroughs want to be a writer!! (Now there's a claim to fame!!). It's set in the late 20's (it was actually banned in Boston at the time) and follows the story of two vaudeville performers who's unhealthy relationship comes to a head during a wild party. It's absolutely wonderful (really fast paced) and the illustrations by Art Spiegelman really add something extra special to it!!
Let me know if you give it a go (and I'll let you know what I think of this one when I'm allowed to buy books again :-D)
